New Year's Eve 2013

Daisy and I are very excited to celebrate the end of 2013!  Daisy is going to the blogville parties tonight.
She loaded up the Mini with balloons and treats for her friends. Hmmm...fireworks are probably not the best thing to have in my car.
She put on her party hat and is ready to dance the night away!
Farewell to 2013 ~ We are so looking forward to an amazing 2014 and reading about all her dog friends!
Happy New Year!!

Nurse Daisy

Dixie had a little surgery on her paw today. She had a problem with her dewclaw. Daisy tired to take her mind off the pain with a little floor show.

Dixie needed to lay down for a bit, so Daisy kept watch.

Daisy then decided to take a nap with Dixie.

Black and White Sunday

Nola and Sugar are hosting a Black and White Sunday blog hop.  Here is Daisy waiting for her dinner tonight.  She even brought her bowl to the stove so I wouldn't waste any time.

Rockin' Around

Daisy has been rockin' around the Christmas tree getting ready for the rockin' New Year's Eve party.  I never really thought about Daisy dancing until Lily posted New Year's Eve dance lessons.  The dogs in blogville really know how to have a good time!

December Bark Box

We just got around to opening our box tonight. Daisy had lots of presents to open this month, so I am trying to spread them out.  This is what happens when she plays with all her toys...
She even brought her food dish to play with her friends!
Back to bark box...

I love that the treats they pack are for pups, but look like stuff I want to snack on!
We played fetch for an hour with these two stuffies.

Leftovers

After cleaning up from yesterday and taking a nap, Daisy discovered the joy of holiday leftovers.

She enjoyed a few bites of the wing. Daisy thought she would get to eat the whole thing, but I didn't want to visit the vet with a sick pup today. ;-)
Daisy and Dixie also had some mashed potatoes.  Scotties LOVE potatoes!

Neighborhood Christmas Lights

Daisy and I live in such a wonderful neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly! They go caroling to each other's houses and have a holiday decoration contest.  It's very festive to go on walks right now.
The penguin stole the snowman's head. Aghhhhhhhh!!!  She always stops and stares at this house.
Daisy quickly goes by the house with the life size Santa. He's still a little scary.
Daisy likes the plastic Santa and reindeer more.
Usually this house doesn't have all the figures lit up. Tonight they were all on AND they were *moving*! Daisy observed while I held her...she wasn't a fan of being on the same level as moving Darth Vader and Yoda. I think this house adds more everyday!
Ready to move on...
This is my next door neighbors' house. They have blow ups covering the whole front yard. Daisy was scared of them the first week they were up. Now, she walks past them like they are not even there.

Christmas Gift Exchange

Jazzi not only hosted the Christmas Card Exchange (Daisy is still clearly in the lead in this house), she hosted a Christmas Gift Exchange.  We sent our presents to Stella Rose - who is so sweet and adorable but lives with present stealers!  Poor Stella Rose.
Mollie Jo had Daisy for the exchange.  I planned on waiting until Christmas for Daisy to open her present, but she would not leave it alone.  No matter where I put the box, she would try to get it.  So, we opened it tonight.
Daisy had to read the card before she could see the presents.

Super fancy waste bags
An octopus stuffie that squeaks
Yummy chicken treats
A pink and polka dot Scottie blanket!
And, a handmade (with very fancy edging) black and wheatie fabric bread basket!
Just in time for Christmas dinner!
Of course, a box to play with is always a plus.

Thank you, Mollie Jo!  Daisy loves her presents!!!
