Mystery Solved

I thought the clematis leaves grew about a foot from the ground. I now know the truth.

Stroll

Daisy and crew took to the trails once again for a sniffing stroll. Daisy started off by sniffing her namesake flower and wearing it in her harness.

Trying to figure out where the lizard went.
Taking a quick rest after going crazy with the noises in the bushes.
Leprechauns still aren't back!
One last sniff before we go.

Horsing Around

Daisy and I were invited to one of my student's horse competition today. We wished her good luck before she went into the arena.
She won first place in her first competition!
I am lucky enough to have taught both sisters and the lovely girl on the right in the picture above.
Daisy and DaVinci became fast friends.

They even shared some post competition carrots. A win-win for everyone! Daisy really wanted to go nose to nose, but I had to reign her in.

Scotch

Scotchy Scotch Scotch
We love Anchorman here and I couldn't believe there is an ice cream with Ron on it!
Daisy wants to know where Baxter is.
I let her lick the spoon.

We give the (butter)Scotch ice cream a paw and thumbs up!

Make Your Own Confetti Day

Ranger is hosting a blog hop today to celebrate "Make Up A Holiday" day. Today is my Dad's birthday so we decided to use Daisy's love of making confetti for our holiday.

Daisy loves little bits!

Back Seat

Daisy is a pretty agreeable travel buddy. She likes to take in the sights.

She'll even take a nap to pass the time.
Then, there's Dixie in the back seat. Dixie knows she can control the windows. My Mom would keep her hand over the lever and Dixie would push her paw on it to lower the window!  Here is one of the many incidents where Dixie was sneaking a sniff.
Heeheehee

Side Trip

We took a little side trip to Santa Barbara on our way home from the race. Daisy had a little quality time with Hank.
Saying hello
Having a snack from Hank's tall dishes
Hank was thrilled to have Daisy's Easter. Bunny treats.
We had a long drive home, so it was a quick visit.  Hank said his goodbyes...
Then, walked Daisy to the car.
We love Santa Barbara and the people who live there!!!

Cal Poly Triathlon

Day 2 of our road trip was spent at Lopez Lake watching my cousin race to 4th place in the Olympic distance triathlon!  I've lived in California my whole like and never even heard of this place.  It was so beautiful and we enjoyed hiking around while waiting for my cousin to swim, bike, and run.
Daisy the Scot is cheering on triathlete Scott as he completes the bike portion.
We can't believe how fast he was out running.  We all agreed we'd fall down and look like a glob of Jell-O at this point.  He acted like it was the easiest thing in the world.
We watched the swimmers while Scott was running...and took time to sniff everything!
See? Scott looks like it was nothing!!  Dixie got a hug from the winner.
We are so happy we got to be there!

Road Trip

We all drove up to San Luis Obispo today. We're going to cheer my cousin during his triathlon tomorrow. Daisy had a lot to take in on the drive up.
The Pacific
A ranch
Bumper to bumper traffic
A pit stop in Santa Barbara
Checking the view from our room
We stretched all of our legs after the drive   Daisy saw horses and goats for the first time.

Daisy has already crashed and I'm sure she'll have vivid puppy dreams!
