5 on the 1st

Daisy's buddy, Dixie, turned 5 today!!  Daisy and I made a red velvet cake for her birthday. 
They had a delicious time woofing it down. 

Dixie is from the south, so we thought red velvet would be perfect. It's not a true red velvet cake (chocolate). This was  a doggie cake mix made with rice flour and beet juice. It made my kitchen smell pretty special. Daisy was so happy to smell the air while it was baking. 

For my class today, I made a tray of "brown e's". 
Everyone gobbled them up!

  8. Happy late but just as good Birthday Dixie!!! It is such a good age!! And MOM you are one very special mom to make the special dog friendly cake!!
    I use to quilt and make all my own clothes but can not even thread a niddle any more!! I went and got old!!! Can not see at all any more!! I can not see what i am typing??? Hope no mistakes!!
