Reunited

We picked up Daisy, Dixie, and Aly first thing this morning.  We were pretty tired after flying all night, but it was worth it to be greeted by this sight...
Daisy driving home with her happy fortune cookie ear move.
Daisy waiting for a good girl dog treat.

Daisy thoroughly investigated my suitcase and carry-on.

I think she knows we saw a lot of these guys.

Last Day of Vacation

Daisy is resting up for a big day tomorrow.
It's her last day of vacation!!  We are going to be reunited at 8 a.m.  She's been having her own vacation this week with her friends and family while I've been with my friends and family. I know we'll have lots to catch up on (like all of her dog blogs!). Sadly, she couldn't join me because guess where I was...

Turkey Hunters

The Wheaties are taking care of getting the turkey this year. It was harder to catch one than they thought it would be!

Assistant Chef

Daisy, like Dixie, loves to help in the kitchen.  As we recently found out, she can just get on the counters to help herself when no one is around!  She's trying to get back in my good graces by showing she knows how to behave in the kitchen.  Just look from the ground at the counters...
 Gaining a little higher perspective...
Waiting patiently for a little taste...

Guest Room

Daisy isn't allowed in the guest room unsupervised.  When she does get a chance to go in there, it's play time!  She loves to bury herself and play in the pillows, comforter, and...
 (especially) the Wheatie sheets!

Hole In One

Daisy's nose has been growing quite a bit lately.  She loves to use it to open cabinets, rough up blankets, and to play with her toys.

November Bark Box

It's always a good month when you get a stuffed zucchini mailed to you!

Slicker

My friend Heather gave me this little slicker a long time ago.  Daisy loved investigating during the drizzle this afternoon, so I thought it's a good time to try it out.
Yep, almost ready to eat a worm!

It's True

Daisy did throw up over the side of the bed.  A lot.  Up until that day, Daisy didn't get on the counter (that we know of!).  She now seeks out innovative ways to get on the counters.  We all hope this is just temporary exploring!

The Santa Barbara car story is also 100% true...for Dixie.
Dixie is the wheatie on the left.
We were going to visit Hank, Daisy's cousin, and we had to turn around for my Mom to get a change of clothes and to clean up the car.  It's never happened since.

We had so much fun reading all the false confessions! Thank you, Ranger, for hosting such an entertaining blog hop! There are some fantastic true stories out there!

False Confession Day

Tomorrow, November 21, is False Confession Day.  Ranger is hosting a blog hop where dogs post two confessions and you have to guess which one is true and which is false.  Just to make it tricky, there is a little bit of truth to each story.  Since I post about Daisy every day, you would be able to figure out which one I had not posted before!  Here are Daisy's tales for your consideration...

"First, this is not for Santa Paws eyes.  I heard he brings toys to good dogs and I don't want to miss out!

#1 The Car Ride
I was in the car going to Santa Barbara to see my favorite big dog, Hank.  The ride was a little long and we hadn't stopped in awhile.  I didn't know what to do.  There was not a single grass blade in sight.  I really tried to control myself, but it just came out.  A lot.  Someone had to get a change of pants...and it wasn't me.

#2 Chocolate and other toxic foods
I really like to eat everything people do - even the bad stuff.  No one gave me a chocolate covered peanut that they kept saying was sooooooo good.  So, I took matters into my own paws.  When they left, I jumped up on the counter and helped myself.  They were soooo good.  I thought I could eat them everyday, until my tummy started gurgling. I threw up.  A lot.  Even after we went to bed, I threw up.  I was considerate enough to throw up over the side of the bed.  I was pretty proud of myself that it all landed on the floor.  No more chocolate for me!
So, leave a comment with which one you think is not 100% true.  I will reveal which one it is tomorrow.  Check out the blogs below for more false confessions!"

Lap Blanket

Daisy has taken to sleeping on my lap while I read. She makes a pretty good book rest. She's also pretty toasty and keeps my lap warm.

Wait...

Did you say...
 COOKIES?!
Daisy is working on quickly finding me for a treat when she's called.

Feisty

Daisy put herself to bed early tonight.
She got up on my parents' counter, using a step stool this time.  She ate part of a sponge, some dog treats, and part of a loaf of fresh bread.  The extra carbs made for an extra feisty weekend. I caught her on top of my dining room table...
Ripping up her toys...

And leaping off the furniture...
She's ready to snore the carbs away...

Fur Stealer

It's that time again! Daisy's hair doesn't seem to grow that fast yet. She does have a pretty thick coat and has a huge pile of hair when we're done.
Daisy tries to give a helping paw...

Waiting for her after cut treat...
