I'm back with one of my all time favorite authors... Robert Munsch! This week, I'm going to tell you about Moira's Birthday.
Robert Munsch has such a gift for story telling. The first graders hear a lot of his stories during September when they need *lots* of story breaks. Mr. Munsch's books always capture their attention, have them laughing, and generate a great discussion after! Let's take a look at Moira's Birthday...
Moira is going to have a birthday and wants to invite grades 1 - 6 annnnnndddd the kindergarten. At this point, the first graders say "oh no - those kindergarteners are going to be trouble". Heeheehee.
Moira's parents tell her she can only invite 6 children. Just 6. You see where this is going, right? By the end of the day, the whole school is invited!
When aaaalllllll the kids got to Moira's house, they realized they didn't have enough party food. So, Moira ordered 200 hundred pizzas AND 200 cakes! Of course, that was going to take a loooooong time, so the kids went home and grabbed some food. Those kids sure have some interesting food at their homes!
I really think you will love to read Moira's Birthday! It's also fun to 'read' the pictures by Michael Martchenko! You can't go wrong with a Robert Munsch book!!! I think I'll have to review another one of his books this summer. It is so hard to pick just one!
Happy Reading!
