Ornament

I almost forgot to post this. Every year, my parents gave me an ornament in my stocking. It's always something to do with that year. For 2013, they gave me a daisy ornament - for my pup and all the daisies she's pulled out of my garden!

Back To Work

Daisy and I had such a lovely Christmas vacation. It seems like ages since I've been to school! It was back to the classroom today.
Daisy's hoping I have snacks in my bag.

Double S

Sleepover &
Sunglasses

Daisy had her first sleepover at my parents while I went to San Francisco for a wedding. She was a good girl except for the getting on the counter thing. This time she nabbed my Mom's old sunglasses.  I think I need to get her a puppy puzzle to keep her mind engaged!

On The Mend

Dixie is feeling much better.  She is going on short walks and isn't letting her bandaged paw get in the way of having fun.  She is extra lovable, though...and she's a very lovable dog already!  Daisy and Aly are her protectors.

The night before her surgery, Dixie and Aly came over for dinner.  Aly was on patrol.  Dixie and Daisy played with every toy.

Then, took a break to play the 'we could be twins' game.

Super Dog

Daisy loves to play with bags - all kinds.  I was putting things away and she started playing with one.  The bag turned into a super hero cape and she was running through the house with it.  She was so happy!

One more thing to add to the list of things to never leave out when Daisy is unattended!

Packing Up

Today Daisy and I put away all the Christmas decorations.  It seems like we just put them all out!  The looks Daisy was giving me told me she felt the same.

2014!

Daisy kicked off 2014 with a play date with Aly and Dixie. Then, a nap complete with some sawing of logs.

Final card count:
Daisy ~ 87 snail mail and e-cards (14 Scottie cards!)
Me ~ 36 (8 from 1st graders I taught who are now in college or beginning their careers!)

We had so much fun participating in Jazzi's card exchange. I think I'll bind them for my students to look at!
